Rotary orientation in Newport

Opäť sme sa spolu všetci výmenní študenti stretli. Tentoraz sa náš víkend sa konal v Newporte. Je to jedna z turistických destinácii na pobreží. Dostali sme trocha času objavovať centrum. Priamo v prístave je kopa uškatcov, čo iba leňošia doslova jeden na druhom. Nikdy som tieto zvieratá tak zblízka nevidela. Tiež sme dostali lístky do miestnych muzeíí. Mne sa najviac páčilo múzeum voskových figurín. Najlepšia časť bola strašidelná expozícia. Hoci to nerada priznávam, aj ja som sa zľakla. Okrem toho sme tento víkend prezentovali príhovor (o našej výmene) a nacvičovali talent show na nasledujúci meeting. To bude dištriktná konferencia s množstvom rotariánov, preto musí byť všetko na úrovni. Ja som spolu s kamoškou prezentovala naše spoločné video. Dostali sme naň veľa pozitývnych reakcii.

Finally! Another meeting with all the other exchange students. This time we met in Newport. It is one of the tourist destinations on the coast. We had some time to explore downtown. Right in the harbour there are many sea lions lazing around literally at the top of one another. We also visited some museums. I liked the Wax Museum the best. The scary part was the best. I hate to admit it but it scared me. Besides that this weekend, we had also some duties to fulfill. Everybody had to prepare a speech (of course about exchange) and prepare a scene for talent show. My friend and I created a video. Everybody seemed to like it. The talent show is going to be shown in front of hundreds of Rotarians at the district conference, therefore the quality should be good.
